虽然这并不是一项普遍的用途,却可以作为一个很好的案例,说明两种物质接触的时候,表面张力的影响有多大。没有经过预处理的鱼线,会漂浮在水的表面,从而引起折射,很容易被鱼发现。
这可以通过水滴在聚合物表面的扩散进行解释。采用Openair®等离子技术实现的表面亲水化,可以把鱼线的表面张力提高到72 mN/m以上。鱼线的润湿性提高,水就可以完全铺展在其表面。这样,鱼线就可以沉到水下,几乎看不见了。等待鱼来咬钩就只是一个时间的问题。
